AOA
Outlaws MC Ireland
The American Outlaw
Association was established in Ireland in the year 2001. Sixty-Six
years after the first Outlaw Chapter was formed in McCook county, ILL.
USA.
The long-standing friendships that existed between the Outlaws MC Wales
and the Outlaws MC England and members of the CFMC and RTMC eased the
way as the Brotherhood and Biking philosophy of the Outlaw Nation was
to take root in Ireland. Meeting and partying with Outlaws from the
USA, Australia and Belgium further endorsed our views and opinions that
there was only one way-AOA.
The AOA Outlaws MC Ireland came into being when members of existing
clubs-Road Tramps mc, Chosen Few mc Belfast and Chosen Few mc Tyrone
decided to join the AOA Nation. The West Coast Chapter AOA was
initially made up of members of the RTMC, and when we were part of that
club all members of that club decided to join the AOA and made contact
with the European National Officer stating the RTMC had decided as a
club to become part of the AOA Nation and with that wheels were set
in motion. This was not an overnight decision on the RTMC's part as
discussions had been going on for some time. However within one week
certain members changed their minds and decided to go back to being
Road Tramps, after they had committed their future to the AOA.
At
first there were three chapters in Ireland:- North, Tyrone and West
Coast.
Today the AOA Outlaw 1% Nation has five Chapters in Ireland - North,
Tyrone,West Coast,Fermanagh and Leinster. Our aims are to bring the
values that are present in the AOA Nation Worldwide to Ireland, to uphold
the Honour and integrity of our Club our Brothers and our way of life,
to promote Biking & Brotherhood throughout the whole of Ireland.
As part of the Outlaw Nation we are looking forward to our future and
offer a hand of friendship to those willing to accept.
As Our Nation goes from strength to strength we look forward to meeting
our Brothers throughout the world.

1935, The
McCook Outlaws Motorcycle Club is established out of Matilda`s Bar on
old Route 66 in McCook, Illinois outside Chicago
.
1946, although the Club stayed together during World
War II, like most organizations at that time, the Clubs activities were
limited. In May of 1946 the first major post war motorcycle event in
the midwest was held at Soldier Field, in Chicago.
1950, from its` original charter members of 1935 the
Club grew in size, with members from all over the Chicago area. The
Club decided to change its` name from The McCook Outlaws to The Chicago
Outlaws and moved out of McCook, re-establishing itself in Chicago.
It was also decided to completely change the Club logo. A small skull
replaced a winged motorcycle and old english style letters were adopted.
This design was embroidered on a black shirt and hand painted on leather
jackets.

1954, saw the addition of the Crossed Pistons to the
original small skull. This design was embroidered on a black western
style shirt with white piping.
1959, the Skull and Crossed Pistons were redesigned, making them much
larger with more detail.
1960, saw the last major design change to the Club logo, looking the
same style as it does today

1963, the Outlaws became an official member of the the
functional 1%er Brotherhood of Clubs, making it the first true 1%er
Club east of the Mississippi.
1965, to officially establish the "Outlaws Nation" a New Years
Eve party was held in Chicago on Dec. 31st, 1964. At the stroke of midnight,
January 1st, 1965, the "American Outlaws Association" was
born. It was also in 1965 that the name Charlie was adopted to the Skull
and Crossed Pistons.
The Outlaws today exist as one of the largest Motorcycle Clubs worldwide.
